Mamutica is the largest residential building in Croatia. Over 5000 people, in 1212 housings, live in it.
Repetition is the basic idea of this series of photographs. Building has a role of a scenery (coulisse). The line of housings fills the frame from left to right in an endless chain. People and vehicles in the foreground are mapping the architectual repetition, by multiplying themselves.
By viewing this chain of photographs from a distance, the effect of oversized Mamutica is emphasized; but there is also an inverse mapping – from foreground to scenery.
